Dr. Shannon Nash
DVM, CVA, ACVCHM, CVTP, CVFT
Hi, I’m Dr. Shannon, and I’m here to simplify pet health & nutrition for you!
As a veterinarian with extensive training in both traditional (Western) and alternative (Eastern) medicine, I specialize in helping pets live longer, healthier lives through personalized wellness and nutrition support.
My passion for pet health began with my own senior dog, Haley, who has been my best girl for almost 18 incredible years. Despite facing multiple chronic conditions, arthritis, and mobility challenges, she continues to surprise me with her alertness, happiness, and resilience. Managing her care—even as a veterinarian—is overwhelming at times, and I can’t imagine how difficult it must feel for pet parents navigating it alone.
This experience shaped my mission: to provide expert, science-backed guidance that empowers pet parents to make informed, confident decisions about their pet’s health.
Bridging the Gap Between Nutrition & Pet Wellness
In practice, I’ve had countless conversations with pet parents who feel lost in a sea of conflicting information—whether it’s about diet, supplements, senior pet care, or treatment options. I know firsthand how much you want to do what’s best for your pet, but without trusted guidance, it can feel impossible to know where to start.
That’s why I’ve dedicated my career to simplifying pet health and nutrition, offering practical, evidence-based solutions tailored to your pet’s unique needs.
My credentials reflect my commitment to providing the highest level of care:
✔ Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
✔ Certified in Veterinary Food Therapy
✔ Certified in Veterinary Acupuncture
✔ Certified in Advanced Chinese Herbal Medicine
✔ Certified in Tui-na (Medical Massage)
✔ Senior Dog Certified Veterinary Professional - Level 2
I also completed two NIH T35 Research Fellowships at Stanford University, giving me a strong foundation in evidence-based research and the ability to critically evaluate emerging therapies.
This unique blend of academic research, clinical experience, and holistic training allows me to provide a balanced, integrative approach to pet wellness—bridging traditional veterinary medicine with nutrition and alternative therapies.
A Practical, Open-Minded Approach
I believe that science and medicine are ever-evolving. While I rely on proven, research-backed strategies, I also approach new ideas and alternative therapies with an open mind. Just because something isn’t yet fully explored in conventional veterinary medicine doesn’t mean it lacks value (hello, raw diets! While I don’t offer raw diet services yet, I hope to in the future!).
This holistic, well-rounded perspective ensures that your pet’s care plan is both effective and practical—tailored to their unique needs and your values as a pet parent.
My Mission: To Make Pet Health & Nutrition Simple, Accessible, and Stress-Free
Whether your pet is facing specific health challenges, you’re exploring fresh or homemade diets, or you simply want expert support in making the best choices, I’m here to help you every step of the way.
With my personalized services, you’ll get clear, science-backed guidance, so you can stop second-guessing and feel empowered in your pet’s health journey.
Let’s work together to create a plan that helps your pet live their happiest, healthiest life!
